You Don’t Have to Be Artistic
A lot of people come in worried about this — you don’t need to be. Even simple designs turn out really nice after going through the kiln. The colors get brighter, and everything looks more finished than it does when you leave. Keep it super basic, or try something detailed. Either way works.

After we got married, we went to a pottery painting studio on our honeymoon. It ended up being one of our favorite experiences, and something we came back to for date nights and anniversaries.
What stood out to us was how easy it was. You could sit down, take your time, talk, and actually enjoy being there — even without artistic experience.
When we started talking about opening a business, we kept coming back to that idea. Having grown up in the area, we knew what kinds of places people tend to go to and what was missing in Rexburg. There wasn’t really a space like this, and we felt like it was something people here would enjoy and come back to.
That’s how Fire & Fizz came together.
It’s a pottery painting studio with a soda bar, but more importantly, it’s a place where you can spend time with people and create something you’ll keep. You can come in on a date, bring your friends, or come with family and stay for a while.
We’ve kept the space clean and open so it feels comfortable to walk into, even if it’s your first time. You pick a piece, choose your colors, and start painting. No need to be artistic — the kiln brings out the magic in our glazes.
You leave with something that you can actually use, which is one of our favorite parts of the whole experience.

Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, there’s always a seat and a fresh piece of pottery waiting for you.
Pottery pieces range from about $6–$100. There’s a standard $9 studio fee per piece painted — this covers all the paints and the kiln firing. Sodas range from $2.50–$4.00.

Pick your premade pottery piece, choose your paint colors, sit down and start painting. Leave it with us to fire, then come back and pick it up later. That’s it — it’s really simple.
Not at all! We have glazes where it’s as simple as covering the whole piece — and it makes beautiful designs on its own. We have options for all skill levels.
Most people spend about 1–2 hours. If you need more time, we’ll hold your piece and you can come back to finish it.
Firing times vary, but typically it’s 1–2 weeks. We’re getting another kiln soon, so lead times should shrink!
We’ll send you an email when it’s done. You can also check the status checker on our website — we batch by painting day, so if you remember when you painted, you can track whether that batch has been unloaded from the kiln.
You’ll receive a follow-up email after 30 days if you still haven’t picked up your piece. After that, if it hasn’t been claimed within a few days, pieces may be donated, discarded, or auctioned.
